MINNEAPOLIS — Sabine Sagaert has joined Cargill Malt as general manager of malt operations in Europe. Ms. Sagaert succeeds Alain Dufait, who has taken a position with Cargill’s Starches and Sweeteners business in Europe.

Ms. Sagaert has more than 10 years of experience in the brewing industry, previously having worked with Interbrew/Inbev in a number of roles, including general manager, marketing director, and business president for Belgium and Luxemburg. Most recently, she was the chief executive officer for the dental division of a health care organization.

She received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Leuven and additional degrees in marketing, economics and fiscal law.
