DOWNERS GROVE, ILL. — Sara Lee North American Fresh Bakery has launched a reformulated Sara Lee Iron Kids white bread nationwide and introduced Sara Lee Thin Style Buns.
Two slices of Sara Lee Iron Kids white bread provide as much fiber (3 grams) as a banana and as much calcium (40% of the Daily Value) as an 8-oz glass of 2% milk as well as added vitamin D. The suggested retail price for Sara Lee Iron Kids ranges from $2.29 to $4.19, depending on the region.
Sara Lee Thin Style Buns have 100 calories per bun and are available in the four varieties of 100% whole wheat, 100% multi-grain, honey wheat and white made with whole grain. The 100% whole wheat and 100% multi-grain varieties are an excellent source of whole grain, a good source of fiber and contain no high-fructose corn syrup.
The suggested retail price for Sara Lee thin style buns ranges from $2.99 to $3.89, depending on the region.
“Our core audience — moms with young children — is looking for better-for-you options that her children will be happy to eat,” said Jeff Dryfhout, director, Sara Lee North American Fresh Bakery. “Sara Lee Iron Kids white bread and Sara Lee thin style buns are products she knows won’t be traded this school year.”
