WARSAW, N.C. — Carolina Soy Products, L.L.C. has changed its name to Whole Harvest Foods, L.L.C., a move the company said more accurately reflects the company’s transition from a soy meal plant to the maker of healthy, hexane free soy and canola cooking oils.
“We are excited to transition our company name to Whole Harvest Foods,” said Bob Dawson, chief operating officer of Whole Harvest Foods. “We anticipate that our new name will be well received by our customers and vendors.”
Whole Harvest Foods is the producer of the Whole Harvest line of no trans-fat culinary oils. Made from 100% pure oils, Whole Harvest uses an expeller-pressed approach that does not involve hexane, a flammable solvent typically used in the production of most cooking oils. In addition to being all-natural, the Whole Harvest line of culinary oils is not hydrogenated.
The Whole Harvest line of culinary oils is available in soy and canola and includes Whole Harvest SmartFry (commercial frying oil), Whole Harvest Culinary Oil (salads, sauteing and baking), Whole Harvest SmartCoat (non-stick pan spray), and Whole Harvest Liquid Butter Alternative.
