BATTLE CREEK, MICH. — Kellogg Co. has partnered with Aflac, primary sponsor of race car driver Carl Edwards and the No. 99 Aflac Ford Fusion, for the 2010 Sprint Cup Series season. The agreement gives Kellogg primary sponsorship for two Sprint Cup races in the 2010 season as well as associate sponsorship of the No. 99 car for all other 2010 Sprint Cup Series races.

“I’m really excited to be partnered up with the Kellogg Co.,” Mr. Edwards said. “It’s a great addition to the Aflac Racing team, and we’re proud to carry their brands on the No. 99 in 2010. I look forward to being in victory lane with them.”

Kellogg was a part-time sponsor with Hendrick Motorsports’s Mark Martin last season before parting ways with the team at the end of 2009.

According to Street & Smith’s Sports Business Journal, companies that aligned themselves with NASCAR in 2009 received $1.9 billion in exposure for their brands, up 12.5% over 2008.
