SCHAUMBURG, ILL. — Bret Weaver, currently president and chief executive officer of H.C. Brill, has been named c.e.o. of CSM Bakery Supplies North America (B.S.N.A.), effective May 1. He will succeed Reinoud Plantenberg, who announced his intent to retire.

Mr. Weaver joined CSM in 1996 and has held several executive positions in the field of strategy, business development and general management, including as president of several of CSM’s operating companies. Before joining CSM he was president and c.e.o. of Golden Dipt Co., a division of DCA Food Industries, Inc.

He is a board member of the Allied Trades to the Baking Industry and also has served on the boards of the National Bakery Supply Association, the Bakery Distributors of America and the National Food Distributors Association Manufacturers Council.

 

Taking over for Mr. Weaver as president and c.e.o. of H.C. Brill will be Ron Savelli. Mr. Savelli joined CSM in 2003 and currently is president and c.e.o. of Caravan Ingredients. Prior to joining CSM he owned a consulting firm that provided consultation services in the areas of marketing and operations to the food service and food manufacturing industry. Earlier he was with the Boston Market-Einstein Brothers-New World Restaurant Group as vice-president of product development and vice-president of operational and technical services.

 

Mr. Savelli also is a board member of various bakery trade associations.
