WASHINGTON — The total amount of edible liquid product from shell eggs broken in June was 238,802,000 lbs, up 4% from May but down 1% from June 2010, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said in its latest Egg Products report.

June production of edible liquid whole eggs was 139,763,000 lbs, down 5% from June 2010; liquid whites were 66,015,000 lbs, up 2%; liquid yolks were 33,024,000 lbs, up 7%; and inedible production was 19,821,000 lbs, down 5%.

Shell eggs broken in June totaled 184,997,000 dozen, up 6% from May but down 1% from the previous year.

January–June production of edible whole eggs was 810,778,000 lbs, down 1% from the same period a year ago; whites were 351,132,000 lbs, up 8%; yolks were 179,930,000 lbs, up 11%; inedible product was 114,698,000 lbs, up slightly; and total edible liquid was 1,341,840,000 lbs, up 2%.
