Part of the “interpack alliance,” interpack 2017 is one of six international processing and packaging tradeshows taking place over the next year.

With IBIE 2016 seeing the largest international contingent to date, bakers have additional opportunities to get a taste of what’s happening across the globe at interpack 2017, part of the “interpack alliance,” which includes processing and packaging trade fairs organized around the world.

Held every three years, interpack 2017 is slated for May 4-10 in Düsseldorf, Germany, and expects to attract more than 2,700 exhibitors from nearly 60 countries. The trade fair will be housed in 19 halls that cover more than 2 million sq ft. The show features an array of international products and innovations that range from packaging systems, materials and equipment to cookie, cracker and confectionery machinery.

“The preparations for interpack 2017 are in full swing, and we are looking at the highest exhibitor demand in the show’s history,” said Bernd Jablonowski, global portfolio director, packaging and processing, Messe Düsseldorf, which organizes the event. “The trade show is complemented by the special topic Industry 4.0 in cooperation with the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) and the innovationparc with the theme SAVE FOOD.”

Additionally, interpack will introduce a new concept for its “components for processing and packaging” event during the show.

Other “interpack alliance” trade fairs include International Packtech India/FoodPex India, Dec. 15-17, 2016, in Mumbai, India; Food Processing & Packaging Exposyum, Dec. 5-7, 2016, in Nairobi, Africa; Upakovka 2017, Jan. 24-27, 2017, in Moscow, Russia; Shanghai World of Packaging, Nov. 7-10, 2017, in Shanghai, China; and Pack Print International 2017, Sept. 20-23, 2017, in Bangkok, Thailand.

“With its unparalleled internationality and high number of innovations, interpack is a must attend event for professionals from this sector,” Mr. Jablonowski noted.
