Blake Jennings has joined Biscuitville Fresh Southern as director of development.
 

 

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Blake Jennings has joined Biscuitville Fresh Southern as director of development. A third-generation member of the Jennings family to work at Biscuitville, he’ll join his father, Burney Jennings, chief executive officer, at the maker of Southern food. His grandfather, Maurice Jennings, founded Biscuitville in 1966.

In his new role, Blake Jennings will be responsible for Biscuitville’s real estate development, construction and economic modeling. Prior to joining Biscuitville, he worked as the associate director of development at Kane Realty Corp. in Raleigh, N.C., focusing on Class A office, apartment and retail developments in the Raleigh and Charleston, S.C., markets. Earlier in his career, he worked for First Potomac Realty Trust, where he held various positions ranging from lease administrator to analyst on the finance, asset management and acquisitions-dispositions teams.

He received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Wake Forest University’s School of Business in 2011.

 

Lisa Weaver, Biscuitville
Lisa Weaver has been promoted to the newly created position of director of marketing services.
 

 

Additionally, Lisa Weaver has been promoted to the newly created position of director of marketing services. In her new role, Ms. Weaver will be responsible for project and production management and will be the marketing liaison shepherding ideas from concept through execution while continuing to support and grow Biscuitville’s marketing department production team.

Ms. Weaver joined Biscuitville in September 2017 as marketing services manager. Prior to joining Biscuitville, she had served Biscuitville’s marketing team for more than four years as a print vendor. During that time, she worked with Biscuitville to create quarterly restaurant promotion kits and other collateral and was valued for her attention to detail, structured work processes and dedication to her work.

“Both Blake and Lisa have incredible backgrounds in their respective areas of work that will be valuable to Biscuitville as our company continues its anticipated rapid growth track,” said Kathie Niven, president of Biscuitville. “I know them well and look forward to working closely with Blake as the leader of our real estate development team and with Lisa as she heads Biscuitville’s marketing services group.”

Biscuitville employs more than 1,200 people and operates 54 restaurants in North Carolina and Virginia.
