WASHINGTON — The National Association of Manufacturers’ (NAM) Council of Manufacturing Associations (C.M.A.) announced the 10 trade associations that were awarded the “Best Manufacturing Associations to Work for” Award.
The winners are as follows:
- American Bakers Association (A.B.A.)
- American Coatings Association
- Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International
- Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries
- International Sign Association
- Irrigation Association
- PMMI — The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies
- The Aluminum Association

- The Plastics Industry Association
“It is an esteemed honor for A.B.A. to have earned this award, and I congratulate the entire A.B.A. professional staff on the accomplishment,” said Robb MacKie, president and chief executive officer of the A.B.A. “A.B.A. credits the support of its highly engaged and collaborative membership for creating a positive workplace. Additionally, A.B.A. thanks NAM’s C.M.A. for pioneering this award so that associations aspire to the highest level of serving their membership for the greater good.”
The award originated through a partnership between C.M.A. and Best Companies Group (BCG) and serves to highlight manufacturing associations that go above and beyond for employees.
“The NAM is proud to recognize and congratulate these outstanding associations for building exemplary work environments,” said Jay Timmons, c.e.o. of NAM. “Manufacturing is about people, and that is just as true on the shop floor as it is in our associations and advocacy work. We’re dedicated to helping all of our C.M.A. members identify best practices and learn from each other. Celebrating the best of the best helps all of us succeed.”
The 10 winners will be honored at the C.M.A.’s 2018 Summer Leadership Conference in August.
