MOSS LANDING, CALIF. — Sweet Earth Foods, acquired by Nestle S.A. late last year, is putting a plant-based spin on pizza. The brand is launching a new line of frozen pizzas featuring crusts blended with ancient grains, carrot and rosemary.

“We believe food should be delicious, but it should also make you feel good past the moment you’re eating it,” said Kelly Swette, chief executive officer of Sweet Earth Foods. “Our new pizzas are chock-full of fresh ingredients that provide exceptional taste and nutrition, with the convenience that comes in the freezer aisle. We’re making healthy and sustainable food accessible to everyone, just like it should be.”

Available in Veggie Lover’s, Truffle Lover’s, Protein Lover’s and Herb Lover’s varieties, each pizza contains at least 5 grams of fiber per serving.

The Veggie Lover’s pizza is vegan, contains 6 grams of protein per serving and is made with a cornmeal, carrot and chia crust. The plant-based pie features a marinara and vegan cauliflower herb sauce topped with broccoli, brussels sprouts, mushrooms and corn.

The Protein Lover’s pizza boasts 16 grams of protein per serving and is made with a wheat, chia, quinoa and flax seed crust. Topped with a zesty marinara sauce, the pizza features the brand’s meatless Planet Pepperoni and Tuscan Savory Grounds with mozzarella cheese and roasted bell peppers.

The Truffle Lover’s pizza, made with a whole wheat and psyllium fiber crust, contains 12 grams of protein per serving. The pizza is topped with mushrooms, spinach, garlic, caramelized onions and mozzarella cheese, Gruyere and Romano cheese and features a caramelized onion truffle sauce.

The Herb Lover’s pizza provides 14 grams of protein per serving and is made with a rosemary-infused wheat and psyllium fiber crust. Featuring an herb pesto base, the pie is topped with chives, red pepper flakes and a blend of mozzarella, Fontina, Parmesan, Asiago and Romano cheeses.

“Plant-based eating is good for the planet and good for you,” said Brian Swette, president of Sweet Earth Foods. “Sustainability is at the core of everything we do, beginning with the ingredients we use. Our customers are looking to add more vegetables and plant-based protein to their diet, and we are continuing to serve and empower them with our new line of frozen pizzas.”
