SAN MARCOS, CALIF.  — Gillco Ingredients now has access to Cargill’s starches, sweeteners, texturizing systems and edible oils businesses after entering a distribution agreement with Cargill’s Food Ingredients & Bioindustrial business in the United States. San Marcos-based Gillco Ingredients already was a primary nationwide distributor of Cargill’s chocolate, cocoa, chicory root fiber, erythritol, isomalt, trehalose and stevia products.

“This expansion with Cargill is a giant leap for Gillco,” said Bill Gillies, chief executive officer of Gillco Ingredients. “We are now in a position to offer our customers one of the most comprehensive product offerings of any distributor nationwide. In addition, access to Cargill’s extensive technical capability will supply Gillco with the tools to become the market leader as a provider of ingredient solutions.”

Pat Rogers, Cargill’s commercial leader, North America – Food Ingredients & Bioindustrial, said, “Gillco’s focus on technical sales and formulation assistance will help Cargill bring new and innovative ingredients to market, particularly in the label-friendly ingredient space.”
