DALLAS — Luis J. Ruvalcaba Jr. has joined On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina as chief operating officer.
Mr. Ruvalcaba was most recently vice-president of retail operations for Peet’s Coffee, a position he’d held since May 2018. Before that, he was president and chief executive officer for Patxi’s Pizza, and earlier he spent 11 years as senior regional vice-president of operations for BJ’s Restaurans, Inc. Mr. Ruvalcaba began his career with Brinker International, Inc. as a managing partner for Chili’s Grill & Bar.

Mr. Hood was named president and c.e.o. of On the Border in April 2018. He spent time at BJ’s Restaurants as chief marketing officer along with Mr. Ruvalcaba, and he also started his career at Brinker.
