MILWAUKIE, ORE. — Flowers Foods, Inc. has expanded its Dave’s Killer Bread brand with the launch of English muffins. The muffins are available in two varieties: Killer Classic and Rockin’ Grains.

The Killer Classic variety has six grams of protein and eight grams of whole grains per muffin and features five grains: quinoa, spelt, rye, millet and barley.

The Rockin’ Grains variety has 20 grams of whole grains per muffin, which Flowers Foods claims is the most whole grains of any organic English muffin on the market. The muffins feature flax, sunflower, sesame, millet and quinoa.

Both products are certified U.S.D.A.-organic and Non-GMO Project verified.

“Consumers are eating breakfast all day … not just in the morning,” said Cristina Watson, brand manager for Dave’s Killer Bread. “They want the convenience of breakfast foods combined with clean ingredients for snacking, second breakfast, lunch and dinner. That’s why D.K.B.’s English muffins deliver the classic taste consumers are looking for with organic, whole grain ingredients.”

The muffins are available in six-count resealable zipper bags for a suggested retail price of $4.99.
