The company’s “Taste Us. Love Us.” campaign covers reduced fat, whole grain and corn products from Walkers Oven Baked, Sunbites and Snack-A-Jacks Crispies ranges.
While many shoppers recognize the benefits of eating healthier snacks, some are reluctant to try products that may cost more or contain unfamiliar ingredients. Under this new offer, U.K. consumers that are unsatisfied with their purchase can receive a refund by submitting a photo of their receipt through the web site www.tasteusloveus.com.
“We know that shoppers’ No. 1 concern when choosing smarter snacks is the perceived taste, but as soon as people taste our products, the repeat purchase rate is phenomenal,” said Michal Iwasyszyn, marketing manager for the Better For You portfolio at PepsiCo U.K. “For example, the repeat purchase rate for Sunbites is an impressive 54%. Snack-A-Jacks, Sunbites and Walkers Oven Baked are all great tasting so we have no doubt that this campaign will be a real success for retailers.”
To call attention to the offer, all the snacks’ packages will include a callout stating, “Great taste guaranteed, or your money back.” In addition, the campaign will be supported by television and digital ads, social media influencers, and sampling to ensure consumer awareness.
