CHICAGO — A leadership shuffle is underway at Aryzta as the company brings aboard new executives and promotes from within.

Lisa Papaloni has joined the company as director of marketing. She was most recently marketing manager for Scotts Canada, and before that was a career transition consultant for Felix Global Corp. Earlier in her career, Ms. Papaloni was a senior brand manager for Kellogg Canada, consumer marketing manager for Maple Leaf Foods, brand manager for Novartis Consumer Health and brand manager for Borden Foods.

Brian Miller has been named vice-president of commercial finance for Aryzta. He joins the company from Tyson Foods, where he had been senior director of revenue management and strategy since September 2014. Before that, he was director of trade for Sara Lee for seven years, and prior to Sara Lee he was controller for Conagra Brands’ D.S.D. business.

Dan Wartalski has been promoted to vice-president of customer service and logistics. He was previously divisional vice-president of customer service for the company. A 33-year veteran of Aryzta, Mr. Wartalski has held several roles within the company across both the Pennant Foods and Otis Spunkmeyer brands.

“Dan’s promotion will have him continuing to lead the customer service team and work cross-functionally across Aryzta’s North America network to support the supply chain planning and demand team,” Aryzta said.

Kevin Lake has been appointed vice-president of marketing and strategy. Mr. Lake joined Aryzta in 2018 as vice-president of marketing for Aryzta’s Canada division after spending 4 years with Irving Consumer Products. Before that, he was a marketing director for Maple Leaf Foods, vice-president of marketing for SunOpta’s Purity Life Health Products and director of marketing for Mars, Inc. Previously, Mr. Lake held marketing positions at Conagra Brands, PepsiCo and Kraft Foods.

“Kevin will lead winning portfolio initiatives, mold Aryzta’s innovative strategy and pricing initiatives and assist with marketing strategy leadership for Aryzta marketing directors in food service, retail and Canada,” Aryzta said.

Daniele Bianchini has been named director of food service marketing after serving as category manager for Aryzta since 2013. She joined the company after holding category management positions with Capgemini Consulting and US Foods. Before that, Ms. Bianchini was a marketing coordinator for ImpreMedia and CBS Radio.
