CHICAGO — Gold Standard Baking has announced three promotions within its senior leadership team.

Stepping up from his role as the bakery’s vice-president and general manager of customer development, Haq Chaudary has been promoted to chief commercial officer and general manager. In this position, he will be responsible for strengthening customer relationships and leading the logistics, sales, marketing, innovation departments and customer service departments. Mr. Chaudry also will help guide strategic planning for Golden Standard alongside Jeff Dearduff, president and chief executive officer, and Mark Grosshans, chief financial officer.

Don Van Tassle has been named vice-president — bakery director. He will continue to oversee the day-to-day activities for the company’s four production lines and lead production team members. Mr. Van Tassle joined Gold Standard in 2018 after working at Bimbo Bakeries USA for 19 years as its director of region operations for the Pacific Northwest.

Wally Quednau has been promoted to vice-president of organizational development. In this role, he will lead the company’s human resources team and continue to play an instrumental role in developing the bakery’s workforce. A 40-year veteran of the food industry, Mr. Quednau joined Gold Standard in 2018.
