EDISON, N.J. — ISC Gums opened a new manufacturing facility in Legnica, Poland, to better meet demand from its European and global customers, according to the company.

The company said it selected the location because of its proximity to customer manufacturing facilities in the growing Eastern European region, in addition to the area’s skilled workforce.

The 30,000-square-foot-facility is one part of the company’s growth strategy, which also includes investments in quality control, production, marketing and research and development personnel as well as a new research and development laboratory, agglomeration technology and additional blending equipment.

“Our existing European customers were willing to pay a premium for our superior quality,” said Eric Berliner, president of ISC Gums. “Now that we are supplying them locally, we can support them with improved service and pricing.”

ISC Gums is a gum acacia manufacturer, hydrocolloid supplier and developer of name brand Fusion Gums stabilizing and texturizing systems.
