ELMHURST, ILL. — Robert J. Gee Jr., former general manager of Aryzta’s Cloverhill Bakery, died Oct. 27. He was 32 years old.

After a two-year stint as a contractor with C&C Contracting in the mid-2000s, Mr. Gee began his career in the baking industry in January 2006, joining Cloverhill Pastry-Vend, L.L.C. as production operations manager. He was promoted to plant manager and owner in January 2012, a position he held for three years. In December 2014 he was named general manager of Aryzta’s Cloverhill Bakery, a position he held for two months as he helped manage and sell Cloverhill to Hostess Brands, Inc.

In 2015, Mr. Gee joined Credit Suisse as a private bank family wealth management intern. He most recently was a project manager at Dunbar Systems and an operational excellence specialist at IFS.

He was a past member of the American Society of Baking. 

Survivors include his wife, Celia; two daughters, Ava and Ella; a son, Jackson; his parents, Robert J. Gee Sr. and Marcella Garson; and several brothers and sisters.
