ROBESONIA, PA. — Reading Bakery Systems (RBS) has named Eyad Alsabbagh as process technologist. In his new role, Alsabbagh will work closely with customers to create new snack products, optimize product processes, and provide technical support to ensure efficient manufacturing.

Prior to joining RBS, Alsabbagh has amassed more than 20 years of experience in snack and biscuit production, process optimization and product development. He was previously a biscuit development technologist at the food processing equipment supplier Baker Perkins where he was responsible for new product development, factory acceptance testing and commissioning of biscuit product lines, RBS said. Alsabbagh also had key roles at the confectionery product manufacturer Katakit and the dairy and juice product company Al Morouj.

“We are thrilled to have Eyad join our team,” said Cameron Johnson, director of innovation at RBS. “His experience will further enhance our ability to support customers with high-performance equipment and industry-leading technical expertise.”

Alsabbagh received a bachelor of science degree in agricultural engineering (food science) from Damascus University.
