HOUSTON — Michael Pierce Sr. has been named chief executive officer of Quality Bakery Products, Inc. (QBP), a subsidiary of Abel & Shaffer of Germany.

Pierce brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in operations management across the food manufacturing sector. His extensive background includes transforming operational processes, optimizing production efficiency, and driving significant business growth across multiple organizations.

Prior to joining QBP, Pierce was CEO at Rustic Prairie Holding Co. Earlier, he was chief operating officer at both Honeyville, Inc. and Thomas Foods International. He also spent time as senior director of plant operations at Daily’s Premium Meats and complex manager at West Liberty Foods.

Pierce holds a bachelor of arts degree in business administration and management from Concordia University in Irvine, Calif.
