HAYWARD, CALIF. — Heat and Control, an equipment supplier for industries including snack and bakery, acquired Tek-Dry Systems and Hunt Heat Exchangers, two Blackburn, England-based manufacturers of thermal processing and heat transfer equipment.

Tek-Dry System’s technologies include drying, toasting, roasting and cooling. Its equipment is used in applications such as French fries, snacks, cereals, nuts and other food applications.

Hunt Heat Exchangers designs customized heat exchanger systems, including air blast coolers, gas-to-gas exchangers, exhaust economizers and thermal oil heaters, for food production and other industrial applications.

The acquisitions represent a significant milestone for Heat and Control, said Tony Caridis, president, fostering innovation and creating new opportunities for the two companies.

“Tek-Dry Systems manufactures a broad range of thermal processing solutions that complement our existing range of products, allowing us to deliver even more innovative solutions to our global customers,” Caridis said.

Caridis added that Tek-Dry’s European’s manufacturing facility will allow Heat and Control to expand its global presence.
