WASHINGTON, DC — The International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) announced the return of The Rockin’ Pint concert series on Sept. 14, at 5 p.m.
Presented by AB Mauri North America, this year’s Rockin’ Pint features a headlining performance by 1980s hitmakers Wang Chung, followed by an after-party set from legendary baker and television personality Duff Goldman and his band, Foie Grock.
The concert, taking place in the West Hall Lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center, marks the opening day of the expo, which brings together baking professionals from all segments of the grain-based industry for the Western Hemisphere’s largest event for bakers, held Sept. 14 to 17 in Las Vegas.
“We are thrilled to add The Rockin’ Pint Night to IBIE’s already stellar programming and expand the concert lineup even further,” said Jorge Zarate, IBIE chair. “It’s been three years since our industry has come together, and there’s no better way to kick off the show than with an evening of great music, cold drinks, and networking with friends and colleagues.”
Attendees will experience all the “Dance Hall Days” again as Wang Chung, a British new wave band known for their numerous ‘80s hits including “Everybody Have Fun Tonight,” and “Let’s Go!” will take the stage from 5 to 6 p.m. Formed by Jack Hues and Nick Feldman, the band achieved success during the 1980s with its blend of pop, rock, funk and electronic styles. Its enduring influence is highlighted in the band’s soon-to-be-released career retrospective album, “Clear Light, Dark Matter.”
Following Wang Chung’s performance, Foie Grock will keep the ‘80s vibes going with an after-party set of covers from 6 to 7 p.m. The band is expected to cover songs from several 1980s artists, including Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Billy Idol, INXS, Men at Work, Rush and Van Halen.
A household name thanks to his many Food Network series throughout the years, Goldman first rose to fame on the popular series “Ace of Cakes,” earning two James Beard Award nominations. He is an acclaimed pastry chef, best-selling author, TV personality and owner of the renowned bakery, Charm City Cakes, known for creating spectacular cake creations. Today, Goldman’s personality and culinary talents have made him a fixture on Food Network’s highly rated “Baking Championship” franchise, earning him multiple Emmy nominations.
“AB Mauri is thrilled to partner with IBIE to bring this one-of-a-kind event to the baking community,” said Rick Oleshak, vice president of marketing, AB Mauri North America. “To kick off opening night of IBIE with the Rockin’ Pint Night perfectly embodies our company’s passion for baking and commitment to fostering connections within the industry. Where else can you see a rock star lineup of awesome ‘80s tunes and both raise a glass to the baking industry and reconnect with colleagues from around the globe.”
Admission to The Rockin’ Pint show is a $10 add-on to IBIE 2025 registration. This cost includes a limited-edition commemorative lanyard available for pickup on Sept. 14 inside AB Mauri’s primary exhibit in the West Hall (Booth #1545).
