WASHINGTON — SNAC International will host its Women in Snacks (WinS) Summit June 4-5 in Washington, DC.

The summit gathers influential voices and industry leaders for two days of interactive workshops, education and networking. Open to all genders, the event explores how leadership, empowerment and innovation intersect in the workplace.

“The WinS Summit reflects SNAC International’s ongoing commitment to cultivating leadership pipelines and advancing gender equity in the snack industry,” SNAC stated. “Studies show that companies with greater gender diversity on executive teams are 21% more likely to outperform in profitability and tend to experience higher financial performance. WinS not only champions these findings but also translates them into action by fostering inclusive environments that elevate talent from all backgrounds.”

Confirmed sessions at the summit include:

Finding Your Voice: The Art of Strategic Self-Advocacy (Interactive Workshop): Led by Heather Wiser Soubra, founder of Wiser Way Coaching. Attendees will enhance their self-advocacy skills through practical exercises and real-world scenarios, while discovering their unique strengths, crafting compelling narratives and communicating their needs and achievements in both professional and personal settings.

The Power of Your Words: Finding Your Most Authentic, Influential Voice as a Woman Leader: Led by Sarah Hurwitz, First Lady Michelle Obama’s chief speechwriter (2010 to 2017), who played a pivotal role in crafting some of her most memorable and acclaimed speeches — from the 2008 Democratic National Convention to global addresses during her time in the White House. Before that, Hurwitz served as a senior speechwriter for President Obama and as chief speechwriter for Hillary Clinton during her 2008 presidential campaign.
