Joanie Spencer, editor of Baking & Snack magazine, has worked at Sosland Publishing Company since 2008, covering both the retail and wholesale sides of the baking industry. Ms. Spencer has served on industry committees for the American Society of Baking (A.S.B.) and BEMA and has spoken on bakery operations topics and industry trends for the A.S.B. and the American Bakers Association. With more than 15 years journalism experience, Ms. Spencer has worked for several advertising and public relations firms. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Rockhurst University and master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri.
