ConAgra restructures Spicetec

OMAHA — ConAgra Foods Inc. has launched Spicetec Flavors & Seasonings, a new name and branding, following the completion of ConAgra Foods’ sale of Gilroy Foods & Flavors dehydrated and vegetable product operations on July 19 to Olam International.

Paul Maass, president of ConAgra Mills, will serve as interim general manager of Spicetec Flavors & Seasonings. A new general manager for Spicetec Flavors & Seasonings will be named in the coming weeks.

With the restructuring, Joanne Ferrara, senior director of research and development, will continue to lead the flavors and seasonings development team. Joan Menke, chief global quality officer for ConAgra Foods, and her team will support Spicetec Flavors & Seasonings food safety programs.

David Neff, senior director of manufacturing, will lead the operations teams in Cranbury, N.J., Hyrum, Utah, and Carol Stream, Ill. David Stoneburner, senior director of sales, will lead the Spicetec Flavors & Seasonings sales organization.
