I.B.I.E. launches sustainability initiative

WASHINGTON — The International Baking Industry Exposition has launched the B.E.S.T. (Becoming Environmentally Sustainable Together) in Baking program in advance of I.B.I.E. 2010 set for Sept. 26-29 in Las Vegas. The initiative is designed to recognize baking industry suppliers that foster energy conservation, reduced water usage, a decrease in landfill waste, healthy living and/or a reduction of the overall impact on the environment. Companies whose entries are deemed acceptable by a panel of expert judges will be recognized in upcoming, pre-show promotions, on www.IBIE2010.com, in future press releases, on I.B.I.E.’s social media channels, and in an on-site display area at I.B.I.E. 2010 in Las Vegas.
