Under the banner "Waves of Change. Oceans of Opportunity," PMMI's Executive Leadership Conference (ELC) promises to put innovation and change in context April 15-17 in San Antonio, TX.

Sessions are designed to provide critical insight into bakery needs. David Acheson, MD, former US Food & Drug Administration Assistant Commissioner, currently with Leavitt Partners, will discuss the latest food safety issues. General Mills’ Gregg Stedronsky will discuss the challenges his company faces and what suppliers can do to help. Westat Inc.’s Phil Kuehl, PhD, will deliver a macro view of the marketplace with the unveiling of PMMI’s “Key Attributes of Packaging and Processing Machinery and Suppliers.” The study — based on interviews with processing and packaging machinery end users — describes the respondents’ machinery buying process and what they expect from their suppliers.

Networking opportunities abound for first-timers and veterans alike. Optional activities to increase networking and blow off some steam include an adult-scaled go kart race, a golf tournament, a bocce tournament, and a 5K fun run, walk or ride.
