Flexible baked snack processing from Reading
Jan. 30, 2013
Reading Bakery Systems provides flexible baked snack systems, allowing manufacturers to make multi-crisp snacks from potato, wheat or corn flour doughs. With outputs ranging from 250 to 1,000 kg of finished product per hour, the systems feature an Exact FX 2 continuous mixing system developed specifically for this process. A transport conveyor delivers dough on a first-in, first-out basis to hoppers of the two-roll sheeter that produce a continuous dough sheet in a single reduction. A die roll on the rotary cutter divides the dough into distinct shapes, and then the pieces bake in the company’s Spectrum Oven Over Dryer two-pass convection systems.
