CHICAGO — Newly Weds Foods, Inc., a maker of food coatings, seasonings and functional ingredients for the food processing and food service industries, has acquired Mullins Food Products. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1934, Mullins manufactures and packages sauces, dressings and condiments for retail and food service companies out of its facility in Broadview, Ill. The company has more than 425 full-time employees.

Newly Weds Foods operates 16 manufacturing facilities in North America and 10 locations in the U.K., China, Australia, Thailand, the Philippines and New Zealand.
