ATLANTA — Alfredo Ortiz, vice-president of food service national account sales at CSM Bakery Products, has been elected to the board of directors for the International Food Manufacturers Association (I.F.M.A.).

“We are very proud to welcome Alfredo Ortiz to the I.F.M.A. board of directors,” said Larry Oberkfell, president and chief executive officer of the I.F.M.A. “His innovative thinking and enthusiasm make him an ideal complement to the individuals who guide our association and lead our committees.”

Prior to joining CSM Bakery Products, Mr. Ortiz was a consultant at Boston Consulting Group where he worked with various large multi-national customers such as Kraft Foods Inc., Diageo and Samsung. He also founded Grupo MAS, a business strategy and development consultancy targeting the U.S. Hispanic market, which subsequently was acquired by the Zyman Group. His previous work experience includes positions with specialized consultancy firms and the consumer product industry working for companies such as Kraft, Nestle S.A., PepsiCo, Inc. and Georgia-Pacific.

Mr. Ortiz received a bachelor’s degree in economics at Pomona College and a master’s degree in business administration at the University of Michigan.
