Robert Stone has joined Shick Solutions as the company’s new director of manufacturing.

KANSAS CITY — Robert Stone has joined Shick Solutions, a Kansas City-based ingredient automation company, as the company’s new director of manufacturing.

“I’m excited about Robert’s expertise in manufacturing and what it will bring to our team,” said Tim Cook, president and chief executive officer of Shick Solutions. “He will help us as we continue to move toward our goal of world-class manufacturing for our customers.”

Mr. Stone’s 25-year manufacturing career includes roles in engineering, product development, supply chain management, quality and manufacturing management. Most recently, he worked for Charles Machine Works Inc., a supplier of Ditch Witch-branded underground construction equipment, in Perry, Okla. While there, Mr. Stone was the director of supply chain. Prior to that role, he was the company’s director of manufacturing and led a team of more than 700 members in fabrication, welding, machining, heat treating, painting, and assembly of light and heavy construction equipment.

Mr. Stone began his career with General Dynamics as a manufacturing development engineer and developed manufacturing processes for advanced materials to support the F-16, the F-22 and A-12 aircraft under development and X-30 National Aerospace Plane research program.

"I am happy to join the Shick team and looking forward to applying my experience in continuous improvement to help Shick achieve its goals moving forward," Mr. Stone said.

Mr. Stone graduated from Oklahoma State University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering.
