SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. – Albert Lepage, the outgoing chairman of the Quality Bakers of America Cooperative, received a tribute March 15 from his successor as chairman, R. Jack Lewis Jr., president of Lewis Brothers Bakeries, Inc., Evansville, Ind. At a special dinner held during the annual meeting of the American Bakers Association, Mr. Lepage was honored for his many years of service to the Q.B.A. Mr. Lepage has been a board member of Q.B.A. for longer than 15 years and has served as treasurer and chairman the last 12. He will be retiring from Flowers Foods, Inc. following a long career in the baking industry. Flowers acquired Lepage Bakeries, which had been led for many years by Mr. Lepage, in July 2012.

Elevated as an officer at the Q.B.A. in addition to Mr. Lewis was Peter Rollins as vice-chairman. Mr. Rollins is senior vice-president of product strategy and marketing at Bimbo Bakeries USA. Member companies of the Q.B.A., a cooperative, bake and distribute Sunbeam brand bread in the United States and Mexico.

During the A.B.A. annual convention, Mr. Lepage was recognized for his long service as treasurer of the association.
