“We are very pleased to have Bruce Wacha join our team,” said Robert C. Cantwell, chief executive officer of B&G Foods. “M.&A. and capital markets transactions are vital to our growth strategy, and Bruce is an experienced and talented executive who will be a valuable addition as we continue to execute that strategy.”
Mr. Wacha joins B&G Foods from Amira Nature Foods Ltd., where he spent three years as the chief financial officer and executive director on the board of directors. “I am very excited to join the B&G Foods family,” Mr. Wacha said. “B&G Foods has a demonstrated track record of successfully acquiring and integrating brands. I look forward to contributing to the company’s efforts to achieve growth through accretive acquisitions that are aligned with today’s consumer trends.”The appointment of Mr. Wacha falls in line with B&G Foods’ growth strategy to acquire additional shelf-stable and frozen brands, a plan the company recently discussed during an Aug. 3 earnings call with investment analysts.
