KANSAS CITY — Wayne Lewis has joined UMB Bank, a subsidiary of UMB Financial Corp., as senior vice-president of agribusiness. In his role, Mr. Lewis will be responsible for growing UMB Bank’s agribusiness portfolio throughout the Midwest region of the United States.
Mr. Lewis has more than 20 years of experience in agribusiness finance. Prior to his role at UMB, he was vice-president at First National Bank Omaha, where he served the Kansas City market as a senior relationship manager. Earlier, he was vice-president and senior relationship manager at Commerce Bank, and vice-president of the food and agribusiness group at Wells Fargo.
“Wayne’s entire career has been focused on agricultural finance, and his expertise will bode well for our clients and our growing ag team here at UMB,” said Bill Watson, president of UMB Bank’s Agribusiness Division. “Wayne will be a vital part of our continued growth as we expand operations and climb through the ranks as one of the fastest growing ag banks in the country.”
