BARCELONA, SPAIN — Europastry has acquired Confeitaria Torres, a bakery that specializes in fresh and frozen bakery products. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1968, Confeitaria Torres is based in Trofa, Portugal. It produces a wide range of traditional Portuguese and contemporary bakery products.

Together with Europastry Portugal, Confeitaria Torres will allow Europastry to increase its capacity in the region and diversify its product offerings.

Based in Barcelona, Europastry is a multinational company that manufactures frozen bakery product in more than 60 markets, including France, The Netherlands, Colombia and the United States. It recently became the sole owner of Wenner Bakery in Ronkonkoma, N.Y.
