MEXICO CITY — Grupo Bimbo S.A.B. de C.V. honored its key suppliers at the company’s Global Vendors Meeting, held Nov. 13 in Mexico City.

Five of the bakery’s brands presented Supplier of the Year awards to ingredient and packaging companies. The recipients include:

Bimbo Bakeries USA — ADM Sweeteners

Bimbo Mexico — Grupo Trimex

Barcel — Industrializadora Oleofinos, S.A. de C.V.

Bimbo Canada — AB Mauri

Bimbo Latin America — Smurfit Kappa

At the event, Daniel Servitje, president and chief executive officer, Grupo Bimbo, discussed the company’s performance in 2018, recent acquisitions and future global strategies. Best practices and new initiatives were also reviewed at the meeting.
