DECATUR, ILL. – Gregory Morris has been promoted to the newly created role of president of North American Oilseed Processing at Archer Daniels Midland Co. He most recently was vice-president of the business.
In his new position, Mr. Morris will continue to oversee all of the company’s North American Oilseeds processing businesses, including more than two dozen crushing plants where the company turns soybeans, cottonseeds and various softseeds¾such as canola and sunflower¾into meal and oil for use in food and animal feed ingredients as well as industrial applications. He also will oversee ADM’s Specialty Products business, which includes the company’s Protein Specialties, Lecithin, and Natural Health and Nutrition divisions.
“Greg’s continued leadership will be valuable as our North American Oilseeds teams work to meet growing global protein demand, and to expand our value-added product portfolio to address our customers’ evolving needs,” said Matt Jansen, senior vice-president and president of ADM Oilseeds Processing.
Mr. Morris joined ADM in 1995 and has held several merchandising and management positions since that time.
He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
