Gores Holdings buys Hostess

Gores Holdings, Inc., a special purpose acquisition company sponsored by an affiliate of The Gores Group, L.L.C., in November completed the acquisition of Kansas City-based Hostess Brands, L.L.C. In a Nov. 3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Gores Holdings said the transaction was unanimously approved by the boards of directors of both Gores Holdings and Hostess Brands and was approved at a special meeting of Gores Holdings’ shareholders on Nov. 3.

In connection with the transaction, Gores Holdings was renamed Hostess Brands, Inc., and its common stock now trades on Nasdaq under the symbol “TWNK.”
