FlakeSelect salt from Cargill helps cut sodium in snacks and baked foods. Made by the company’s patent-pending compaction technology, the flaked salts combine salt with potassium chloride and/or sea salt. The process yields an agglomerated thin flake with uniform consistency, low bulk density, high solubility and a large surface area. Compared with dry blended or granulated products, FlakeSalt shows superior adherence for topical applications. It can also be used as a formula salt. Four formulations and cut sizes are available.
