SAN FRANCISCO — Popchips is introducing a jalapeno variety.

“We’ve been getting so many requests for jalapeno Popchips but had to make sure to strike the right balance between the fresh flavor and spicy heat of green jalapeno peppers,” said Keith Belling, co-founder and chief executive officer. “We’re excited to give our snackers just what they’re looking for — an all-natural, deliciously spicy snack that’s not too hot to handle.”

The chips are not fried or baked but rather popped using heat and pressure. The new variety will be available in a 3-oz share and a single-serve pack.
