SEATTLE — The Essential Baking Co. is offering three limited-edition Take & Bake bread varieties. Beginning Oct. 1, the company said it will start offering cinnamon currant, cranberry walnut and stuffing for a limited time at all stores carrying The Essential Baking Co.’s artisan bread and baked foods.

With a 90-day shelf life, FreshSEAL packaging and preservative-free ingredients, Essential Baking said its Take & Bake has become a staple in kitchens, offices, backpacks, tents and “essentially” anywhere that calls for artisan bread.

“The Essential Baking Co. relies heavily on customer feedback when it comes to baking new products, and that’s exactly how seasonal Take & Bake came to life,” said Tom Campanile, chief executive officer and president of The Essential Baking Co. “Take & Bake is a fresh, modern and convenient twist on artisan bread. We launched these new flavors as an homage to fall and its vibrant flavors, and we knew Take & Bake would be the perfect canvas for busy holiday chefs and anyone who enjoys these harvest flavors as much as we do.”

Seasonal varieties of Take & Bake are par-baked using ingredients such as spices, cranberries, currants and unbleached flour. All flavors are Non-GMO Project verified and made with organic flour.

Founded in 1994 in Seattle by George DePasquale, a 40-year bakery veteran, The Essential Baking Co. provides bread, pastries, crackers and desserts to grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, schools and hospitals across the Pacific Northwest, with national distribution on shelf-stable and frozen par-baked lines.

The Essential Baking Co.’s products are available online nationwide or in-store in 41 states, including California, Hawaii, Florida and Illinois.
