» New products debuting at Winter Fancy Food Show
New products debuting at Winter Fancy Food Show
Bakery and snack companies will unveil desserts, bagels and bars at the tradeshow.
Wake-N-Bagels
Little Shop of Bagels is rolling out a range of frozen bagels after numerous requests from its long-distance customers. Available in three varieties — onion, plain, and everything — Wake-N-Bagels are made with organic flours and grains. Each 16-oz box contains four bagels and can be refrigerated for up to a year.
Frena Buns
Expanding its portfolio of bread and rolls, Ozery Family Bakery is introducing Moroccan-style Frena Buns. Each bun is pre-sliced and can be used for sandwiches or paired with hummus, cheese or a drizzle of olive oil. Frena Buns contain 70 calories, 7 grams of protein and 1 gram of fiber per bun.
Rolled oat protein bars
Bobo's will showcase its new line of whole grain rolled oat protein bars at the trade show. Almonds, peanuts and pea protein bring 10 to 11 grams of plant-based protein to the snack. The range contains four flavors: chocolate chip peanut butter, almond butter, cherry almond butter + hemp seeds and banana peanut butter.
Not Too Sweet Cookies
A new line of keto-friendly chocolate chip cookies by Fancypants Baking Co. is launching at the Winter Fancy Food Show. Following the diet’s low-carb requirements, the cookies contain 2 grams of net carbs and 4 grams of protein for every three consumed. Fancypants Chocolate Chip cookies are made with ground pumpkin and sunflower seeds, cage-free eggs, Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil Certified palm oil and chocolate chips and are free from grains, peanuts and G.M.O.s.
Protein Bars
Seed-based food company 88 acres is releasing a new line of Protein Bars in two flavors: dark chocolate brownie and banana bread. Each snack contains 12 grams of roasted pumpkin seed protein per 1.9-oz bar. Both bars are certified gluten-free, non-GMO Project verified, kosher and vegan.
Pechkeks Misfortune Cookies
Specialty food importer Carl Brandt, Inc., is introducing Pechkeks Misfortune Cookies to U.S. consumers. Made in Hamburg, Germany, the black cookies bring a humorous twist to the traditional treat. Placed inside each cookie is a “misfortune” that delivers a comical message such as “Penny for your thoughts? You still owe me change!”
Rowdy Bars
Rowdy Bars is adding Blueberry Almond Tart to its range of bars that promote digestive health by incorporating prebiotics from yacon root. The new flavor is made with less than 10 ingredients, which include almonds, egg white protein, dried blueberries, and yacon syrup. Blueberry Almond Tart bars contain 9 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber and are free from gluten, dairy and G.M.O.s.
