Following years of consumer requests, Kellogg subsidiary RXBAR is introducing its first-ever plant-based offering. RXBAR Plant has 10 grams of protein and replaces the brand’s signature egg white protein with pea and almond protein. Flavors include peanut butter and chocolate chip. Featuring a soft, chewy texture, the bars are formulated with dates, nuts and gluten-free oats and contain no added sugar. The brand boasts the shortest list of ingredients among its competitive set.
Lenny & Larry’s The Complete Cookie-fied Bar

Lenny & Larry’s

Lenny & Larry’s is adding nutrition bars to its portfolio of products with the introduction of The Complete Cookie-fied Bar. Non-GMO Project verified and gluten-free, the bar is formulated with 12 grams of plant-based protein, has 6 grams of sugar and 5 grams of prebiotic fiber. The Complete Cookie-fied Bar is available in two flavors: peanut butter chocolate chip and chocolate almond sea salt.
Think! High Protein Crisp Bars

Think! Products is pumping up its protein-packed portfolio with new High Protein Crisp Bars. Available in chocolate and lemon flavors, the bars feature a soft cake-like layer atop a crispy core. The bars include a protein blend consisting of soy protein crisps, milk protein isolate, whey protein, calcium caseinate and casein. Sweetened with stevia, each gluten-free bar contains 140 to 150 calories, 15 grams of protein and 2 grams of sugar.

Etera Foods is launching The After Bar, made with non-hemp-derived CBD, which means it can never contain THC.

Etera Foods partnered with PureForm Global to use its CBD derived from citrus. The technology used to extract CBD from citrus terpenes (aromatic compounds in oranges) involves no toxic solvents and preserves their organic essence, according to the company. Each After Bar contains 20 mg of PureForm CBD.

Vegan, soy-free, gluten-free and non-GMO, The After Bar contains a blend of Sachi Inchi protein and pea protein, providing 14 grams of protein. Paired with carbohydrates from fruit and healthy fats from nuts, the bars contain a balanced macronutrient ratio optimized for recovery, Etera Foods said. The After Bar comes in three flavors: Dark Chocolate Cherry Matcha, Antioxidant Berry Fusion, and Original Harvest Trail.

The Dark Chocolate Cherry Matcha After Bar blend dark chocolate, tart cherries, organic ceremonial-grade matcha, almonds, dates, quinoa, cherries, coconut, pumpkin seeds and vanilla beans. Each bar contains 290 calories, 18 grams of sugar, 12 grams of fat and 4 grams of fiber.

The Antioxidant Berry Fusion flavor features almonds, dates, quinoa, blueberries, cranberries, goji berries, coconut, dragon fruit, noni fruit, ginger, vanilla beans and turmeric. Each bar contains 290 calories, 20 grams of sugar, 11 grams of fat and 4 grams of fiber.

The Original Harvest Trail variety combines pumpkin seeds, quinoa, raisins, coconut, vanilla beans, turmeric, almonds, dates and ginger. Each bar contains 290 calories, 19 grams of sugar, 12 grams of fat and 3 grams of fiber.

Nature’s Harvest Healthy Habits

Bimbo Bakeries USA is expanding its Nature’s Harvest bread portfolio with the launch of Healthy Habits. Healthy Habits contains 40 to 45 calories per slice and features the brand’s first keto-friendly variety — Healthy Habits White made with Whole Grain.

Healthy Habits White made with Whole Grain contains 45 calories and 6 net carbs per slice.

In addition, Nature’s Harvest has added a light multigrain variety. Healthy Habits Light Multigrain contains 40 calories and 15 grams of whole grains per slice.

Purely Elizabeth is adding a trio of new flavors to its granola portfolio. All three varieties are gluten-free and Non-GMO Project verified.

The vanilla chocolate chip ancient grain granola is made with gluten-free oats, coconut sugar, raw virgin coconut oil, fair trade dark chocolate chunks, sunflower seeds, quinoa flakes, puffed amaranth, chia seeds, sea salt and vanilla extract. Each 1/3-cup serving contains 130 calories, 3 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber.

The honey peanut butter ancient grain granola combines gluten-free oats, honey, raw virgin coconut oil, coconut sugar, peanut butter, sunflower seeds, quinoa flakes, puffed amaranth, chia seeds and sea salt. Each 1/3-cup serving contains 130 calories, 3 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber.

The grain-free apple walnut granola contains pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, coconut sugar, cashews, dried apples, coconut flakes, cashew butter, walnuts, MCT oil, almond flour, chia seeds, cinnamon and sea salt. The granola is keto certified, paleo certified and grain-free. Each 1/3-cup serving contains 160 calories, 5 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber.

Sweet meets heat in the newest Pringles offering from the Kellogg Co.: Pringles Wavy Pineapple Habanero. The ridged chips feature the flavors of grilled pineapple and smoky habanero peppers.

Brazi Bites is launching Pizza’nadas, featuring a Brazilian cheese bread base made from tapioca flour, eggs, cheese and milk, stuffed with mozzarella, uncured pepperoni and tomato sauce. Gluten-free and soy-free, the snacks contain 250 calories, 8 grams of protein and 15 grams of fat per three-piece serving.
Natural Ovens Bakery Keto-Friendly Hot Dog Buns

Alpha Baking Company, Inc.’s Natural Ovens Bakery brand is rolling out Keto-Friendly Hot Dog Buns, featuring one net carb per serving. Made with wheat and oat fiber, the buns contain 90 calories, 26 grams of carbs and 25 grams of fiber each.

“We've heard from retailers that keto sales don't show signs of slowing down, and customers are looking for keto-friendly options to complement their favorite summer meals, like hot dogs and other grilled favorites,” said Tim Lotesto, senior director of national retail key accounts for Alpha Baking. “Natural Ovens Keto-Friendly Hot Dog Buns provide carb conscious consumers with a way to enjoy classic summertime meals, without having to worry about net carbs. In short, these buns rise to the carb-conscious and taste challenge.”

Alex’s Awesome Sourdough is adding to its portfolio of fermented sourdough pizza with two new pies: Plant-Based Vegan Margherita Pizza and Organic Pepperoni Pizza.

The Plant-Based Vegan Margherita Pizza is Non-GMO Project verified and topped with organic plum tomato sauce, Violife plant-based cheese and Sonoma sea salt.

The Organic Pepperoni Pizza is topped with USDA certified organic pepperoni sourced from Organic Valley, where animals are raised without GMO feed, antibiotics or artificial hormones.

“We want to expand our offerings to all health-conscious eaters so they can reap the benefits of gut-healthy foods,” said Alex Corsini, founder of Alex’s Awesome Sourdough. “As we know our consumers care about fresh and organic ingredients, so we made sure our new items aligned with their lifestyle choices.”
