Bear Naked, a granola brand that specializes in Non-GMO Project verified products, launched its new line of Crunchy Bites.
The Crunchy Bites come in honey oat and chocolate chip flavors and are available in 6.2-oz bags. They are joining the Bear Naked Chewy Bites, which come in dark chocolate sea salt and peanut butter and honey flavors, to broaden the granola brand’s all-day snack appeal. They contain fair trade chocolate chips, clean label ingredients and 3 grams of plant-based proteins per serving.
Kellogg Co. is taking its Cheez-It crackers a new direction with the launch of Cheez-It Puff’d, a product the company describes as “cheesy, airy and puffy.”
Cheez-It Puff’d are available in three varieties: double cheese, white cheddar and Scorchin’ hot cheddar.
Nutri-Grain has introduced three new flavor mashups, including two new fruit and vegetable breakfast bars and new “Bites.”
Available in strawberry and squash and apple and carrot varieties, the new soft-baked breakfast bars are made with fruits and vegetable flavors and have 8 grams of whole grains. The bars have a suggested retail price of $3.99 for an eight-count box.
New Nutri-Grain Chocolatey Banana Bites are soft baked mini bars geared toward children. The snack has a suggested retail price of $3.69 for a five-count box and $5.79 for a 10-count box.
Pop-Tarts is introducing a pair of toaster pastries inspired by donuts.
Debuting this month, Frosted Boston Crème Pop-Tarts feature a custard-flavored filling and are topped with chocolatey icing, and Frosted Apple Fritter Pop-Tarts contain an apple-flavored filling and are topped with white string icing.
The new items will be available in an 8-count box for a suggested retail price of $2.99 at retailers nationwide.
Kellogg Co. has debuted Pringles Scorchin’ Wavy Loaded Nachos, a ridged crisp combining the flavors of queso, sour cream and corn tortilla with a slow-building heat, according to the company. The new flavor joins the Pringles Scorchin’ lineup that includes spicy barbecue, cheddar and chili and lime flavors.
“Pringles Scorchin’ has been coming in hot since the line launched a year ago,” said Gareth Maguire, senior director of marketing for Pringles. “Our newest take, Pringles Scorchin’ Wavy Loaded Nachos, sets a new standard for any heat-loving, spicy nacho fans with bold, zesty flavors bundled into just one bite.”
RXBAR is introducing its first-ever plant-based offering. RXBAR Plant has 10 grams of protein and replaces the brand’s signature egg white protein with pea and almond protein. Flavors include peanut butter and chocolate chip.
Featuring a soft, chewy texture, the bars are formulated with dates, nuts and gluten-free oats and contain no added sugar. The brand boasts the shortest list of ingredients among its competitive set.
“Fans have been asking for a plant-based RXBAR for quite some time,” said Jenny Lindquist, director of experience planning for RXBAR. “Today, we answered that call with a plant-based protein bar that delivers on both quality and taste, both essential to us in the development of RXBAR Plant. That’s why it has been nearly two years in the making, to make sure we did it right.”
Kellogg Co. is bringing the dessert-eating occasion to breakfast with the launch of three new Pop-Tarts. Inspired by pie and cake, the new flavors include: Peach Cobbler, Banana Crème Pie and Lemon Crème Pie. Each flavor features a soft-baked dough, sweet fruit-flavored filling and frosting.
Pop-Tarts Lemon Crème Pie and Peach Cobbler varieties are available in 8-count boxes on shelves now at retailers nationwide, and Pop-Tarts Banana Crème Pie is available in a 16-count box at Walmart.
Pringles also has added Pringles Scorchin’ Sour Cream & Onion potato crisps, featuring the traditional sour cream and onion flavor with a boost of smoky cayenne pepper.
Kellogg Co. is introducing Rice Krispies Treats Homestyle, a new version of Rice Krispies Treats inspired by a homemade recipe.
Rice Krispies Treats Homestyle are 50% larger than the original Rice Krispies Treats and contain extra marshmallows. The bars are individually wrapped and come in both original and chocolate varieties.
Rice Krispies Treats Homestyle will be available nationwide in January for a suggested retail price of $3.19 for a box of six or $4.98 for a box of 12.
Kellogg Co. is launching Cheez-It Loaded Popcorn, available for a limited time only.
Made with cheese, the popcorn comes in two flavors: cheddar and white cheddar. The cheddar offering evokes the classic flavor of Cheez-It crackers, while the white cheddar variety features the flavor of aged white cheddar cheese. Both varieties contain 170 calories per serving.
“Even though our Cheez-It Original crackers are a tried-and-true classic, our innovation team is always looking for new ways to bring our fans their favorite 100% real cheese flavor in different snack forms,” said Jeff Delonis, senior director of marketing for Cheez-It. “When it comes to popcorn, the team knew it was due for a cheesier plot twist and delivered with their newest flavor-filled creation.”
