WASHINGTON — Jesse Amoroso, Amoroso Baking Co., and Morgan Murphy, Mother Murphy’s Laboratories, have been named co-chairmen of the American Bakers Association’s Executive Leadership Development Committee. Their appointments take effect in March.

“Jesse and Morgan bring a tremendous amount of energy and innovation to E.L.D.C.,” said Robin Alton, chairman of the A.B.A. and president and chief executive officer of Pan-O-Gold Baking Co. “With such an outstanding leadership team in place, I am confident that E.L.D.C. will continue to achieve its valuable mission to partner executive management development with promoting A.B.A.’s aggressive policy agenda on Capitol Hill.”

Mr. Amoroso and Mr. Murphy will replace outgoing co-chairs Connie Vaughan of McKee Foods Corp. and Pete Frederick of Milner Milling Inc.

“Connie and Pete have set a very high bar with their leadership of E.L.D.C.,” said Kelly Knowles, staff liaison for the E.L.D.C. “It has been an honor to work so closely with them since 2010, and over the course of their tenure, E.L.D.C. has made great strides in program content, member participation and political involvement.”

The E.L.D.C. planning meeting will be held March 16 in conjunction with the A.B.A. Convention at The Phoenician in Scottsdale, Ariz. All A.B.A. members are encouraged to attend. The E.L.D.C. Public Policy Forum will be held Sept. 17-19 in Washington.
