IRVING, TEXAS — Hostess Brands, Inc. has named Christopher Battle of Ypsilanti, Mich., as its “Wonder Dad Hero.” The recognition was part of Hostess’ “Wonder Honors America's Everyday Heroes” campaign, which was created to honor ordinary people making extraordinary contributions to their families, communities or country.
Mr. Battle and his wife have been parents to foster children, some with special needs, for more than 10 years.
“Wonder honors individuals committed to bettering the lives of others,” said Ann Oades, director of premium bread marketing for Hostess. “Christopher has dedicated himself to making a difference by providing compassion, support and encouragement to children in need. We are proud to call him a Wonder Dad Hero.”
As Wonder Dad Hero, Mr. Battle will have his picture and story featured on millions of limited edition Wonder bread packages that will be in stores surrounding the Father’s Day holiday (June 19).
“It’s an honor to be named Wonder Dad,” Mr. Battle said. “I owe it to my children, who are my inspiration, and have taught me the true meaning of unconditional love.”
