CHAMBERSBURG, PA. — Two years after beginning food service distribution to Canada, Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe will start shipping its potato rolls and bread to retail locations in the country. Canada marks the first international market where significant retail sales distribution of the company’s products has been established, Martin’s said.

Martin’s said word-of-mouth and online buzz about Martin’s being the “best burger buns” prompted the initiative. In the summer of 2018, Pusateri’s became the first Canadian retail account to begin selling Martin’s products.

With the latest announcement, Martin’s products will begin appearing in more than 30 independent grocery and specialty stores in more than 50 locations in Ontario, as well as a small region of Manitoba.

“We are very excited to be able to work with Affinity Group Canada to offer our Canadian neighbors Martin’s potato roll and bread products in local stores,” said Terry Lushbaugh, food service manager at Martin’s. “We hope Martin’s will become the No. 1 branded hamburger bun in Canada, just like it is here in the U.S.”

Martin’s products include sandwich potato rolls, long potato rolls, party potato rolls, dinner potato rolls and potato bread.
