CULEMBORG, THE NETHERLANDS — Rademaker Group has acquired Divardy Engineering, a bakery equipment manufacturer, after learning that the company’s future was in limbo. Financial terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

Founded in 1999 and based in Nieuwegein, The Netherlands, Divardy produces systems for depanning, oven loading and unloading and automatic topping.

Prior to the acquisition, the two companies were able to become familiar with one another through shared customer accounts.

Rademaker’s decision to buy the equipment manufacturer was based on Divardy’s strong reputation within the European baking industry, said Jeroen Van Blokland, owner of Rademaker and chairman of the board of directors of Racu BV, Rademaker’s holding company.

“There aren't that many parties that can do what Divardy does internationally,” Mr. Van Blokland said. “Divardy will focus on smaller machines such as needle depanners and loaders and smaller production lines. The ultimate goal is, of course, to implement Divardy technology in our Rademaker international product portfolio.”
