LOS ANGELES — Caulipower is branching out beyond pizza with the launch of a new line of frozen, ready-to-make cauliflower tortillas. The new tortillas, available in original and grain-free varieties, were expected to debut at the Specialty Food Association’s Winter Fancy Food Show set for Jan. 13-15 in San Francisco and will roll out on Amazon and to select retailers in February.

Caulipower said the tortillas feature cauliflower as the first ingredient and contain chickpea flour with 7 grams of protein and 8 net carbs per tortilla. The tortillas also are wheat- and dairy-free, vegan, non-G.M.O. and preservative-free.

“Caulipower’s mission is to listen to what people want,” said Gail Becker, founder and chief executive officer of Caulipower. “Like pizza, tortillas are beloved, versatile and a natural fit for us to create a better-for-you option. Cauliflower tortillas offer another nutritious canvas to create their favorite foods — with the same great taste as our pizzas, the health benefits of cauliflower and the time-saving benefit all of us so desperately need.”

In addition to the tortillas, Caulipower offers a line of frozen cauliflower-based pizzas and crusts, including: all-natural uncured turkey pepperoni; margherita; three cheese; veggie; all-natural uncured pepperoni; plain crust; and paleo crust.
